What's nice about Royal Adventure is that they take you out where there's red sand dunes and not the normal yellowish ones, makes for a very "Mars" type of feel and the photos you will be taking there are amazing. Once the dune bashing is complete there will be a 20 minutes photo opportunity in the middle of the desert. Again, Mr Ali was very fun and very good and it was a very fun "bumpy ride". The upgrade costs about 800AED but this is also UAE so you negotiate everything and bring that price down, I paid 500 and don't regret it one bit.Īfterwards, is the Dune bashing done in a convoy by the professional drivers. Doing so also take you out of the compound and in the real dunes where you will be doing your own guided dune bashing, totally worth it and it has so much more power than a quad, you'll absolutely love it not regret the decision. However if you're an adrenaline junky like me you'll want to skip that and upgrade to a Polaris 1000CC buggy. Once in the desert you will have 30 minutes to ride a quad in their compound in the desert (included in the experience). The day of the safari they'll come pick you up around 14h30 at your hotel and take you about an hour away from Dubai.
